Kinesiologists focus on improving strength, mobility, agility, and flexibility through exercise. They can help patients find the best way to move their bodies, strengthen muscles, and improve range of motion. Kinesiologists can also help prevent injuries and reduce pain, and help patients recover from injuries.
Physiotherapists evaluate injuries and treat a wide range of medical conditions. They specialize in treating musculoskeletal issues using techniques like manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. Physiotherapists use more passive techniques, like needle work, while kinesiologists use more active exercise rehab and fitness programming.
Applied Kinesiology (AK), developed by Dr. George Goodheart in 1964, uses bioenergetic feedback through testing the strength of various muscles in the body. This highly individualized, in-depth system of analysis, allows the practitioner to assess various aspects of a patient's state of health by evaluating and treating postural and muscular imbalances, neurovascular and neurolymphatic points, subluxation, cranial-sacral movement, acupuncture meridians and nutritional status. This is a highly effective treatment system which focuses on whole body care. AK enables health investigation without intrusion. AK gives insight into the underlying causes and solutions to many functional health problems.
"One of the biggest benefits of AK is it gives us a tool for discernment!
The frequency of your appointments will depend on the nature of your condition and your individual needs. Your kinesiotherapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan that takes into account your goals and expectations.
Kinesiologists have a larger tool bag than the run of the mill professional medical world. They seek the origin of a client's condition. Find the origin, fix the origin, return the body back to normalcy. In contrast: Chiropractors, Doctors, Physiotherapists, and Massage Therapists all treat your physical symptoms only. This is usually not the proper pattern needed, unless there is an injury caused by blunt trauma. Then the above listed professions can be of great use.
We are not trying to discredit these other useful professions. Most of the time there methods are not what a client needs and it can take months or years to feel better. AK treatment is a faster way to overall health and balance.
AK saved our owners life.
